"Get This Party Started!"

As you know I have begun reaching out to all my fellow graduates of the class of 1987. I have also kept in touch over the years with someone else from our past, Carolyn Mauffray. Although she did not graduate with us from NHS, she wants very much to be a part of reuniting with us.

I am grateful for her eagerness.....she is the first to email me information to post to this "Where Are They Now?" blog. I hope her stats help my efforts to "Get This Party Started"! May you get inspired to share your information. LOOK OUT...........once I get my photo albums out of the attic, you will be in for some laughs. Hey, what else is there to do for entertainment now that American Idol is over?
She writes:
During my freshman year at Northshore High, my family moved me to Baton Rouge, LA. I graduated from Belair High in BR. I think most of the people from Northsore will still remember me if they started during their freshman year.
I moved back to Slidell in 1994. I married my husband, Scott Crockett who is also from Slidell, in 1996. We have two handsome boys, Brady (8) and Conner (6).

Come to the reunion to find out more. I look forward to seeing some familiar faces.

"Somewhere Out There"...

"Somewhere Out There" ...... Why is that coming back to me.......did I see that stamped on peach or turquoise napkin? All of my yearbooks and the memory book are in the attic. I'll be working on getting those down.

You are somewhere out there, and you've started to contact me. I was so excited to hear from you. Kathi E. and I will be trying to reach others in this area to form a planning committee.

John, I appreciate your offering to help!! For now until we know a little more, please contact all of those in which you have contact with and let them know the search is on and planning will be taking place soon.....you too, Jason and Tom.

You can email me your information, and I will post it. You can find me under my profile. If you choose to email me, type your information exactly how you would like to see it. I will cut and paste it. If you send a photo, I will add it too.

Thanks so much for being as interested as I am about learning more about our fellow classmates.

Reaching out!

Today was my first real attempt to reach out to you. Those of you who I had emails for or if you posted your email on Northshore's website, I made an attempt to contact you. I hope you will reply.
It looks to me like the Northshore website is not a very productive site as far as getting information on old classmates. I will be heading to classmates.com to see if I can post something on it. I don't have an account with them and do not plan on having one, but maybe I can somehow post this blog address. If you have an account with classmates, please give the information about the site.

Thoughts of a reunion

Now that it is the summer time and things with my children have slowed down, I began thinking about our reunion. Are plans in the making? I guess if a committee has not been formed, should we form one?

Slidell is recovering well from the hurricane; however, there are not many really nice places to have a reunion. If we are going to do this for next year, I am thinking we should try to get a place soon.

I will be trying to post information and thoughts in this blog daily. A mother of three now, it may get a little tricky to do it everyday. If you should happen to find this blog, please contact me and I'll be happy to post your thoughts and your adventures from the past twenty years. A picture from then would be fun to have too. I'll be trying to compile an address list for more reunion news. Girls, please include your maiden name. I pledge that I will not sell, distribute, or misuse your contact information. Let's use this blog to catch up and remember when. So send this website to all who you have contact with.
