"Take a Ride on a Riverboat..."
Here is a glimpse into our Saturday Night. This is only a few of the photos that I had and have collected from you. I tried naming all spouses........by memory! So excuse the mistakes. I also wanted to put captions on each slide, but that became very overwhelming at 12:30 a.m. So fill in the blanks. It is also making me nuts that it is not in order of the night....oh well! However, I have more in the works for you.........be patient!!!
I want to thank Robert Gunn for the brilliant graphic design for the program cover and Kathi for the program!!! Jean Ingram Hoover for the website shop for T-shirts and others stuff along with the name tags. Jean will be taking the website off of the Internet at the end of the month. If you want to shop for NHS reunion items click here. Susan for the name tages and the great cups (and for hanging on to them.) Jason Scarabin for the teary-eyed CD slide show. And Kathi and Susan for putting up with my fear that no one was going to show up. I am ready to help plan the next one if y'all will let me!!! Opps...I am forgetting Kenny, my husband, for going along for the ride! I believe he had a good time!!!!
Over the past year, I kept hearing from Kenny that high school was just a chapter in the book that was over. He kept on and on about it. I finally learned to ignore him. I think now he realizes that like most good classics, us reuniting was a chapter that was meant to be reread. And I would reread it again and again.............I enjoyed all of the characters.
Don't think this is the end of the blog!!! I still want your updates and photos and testaments of the reunion. Let's tell everyone what a great time we had!

And a HUGE thanks to you Rami for all the hard work you did and continue to do! The blog has been wonderful. I loved reading about everyone and seeing their pictures before we got together. It made it feel like we have all been keeping in touch all these years. Thanks for doing the slide shows. I know they are taking up a ton of your time, but I appreciate it more than I can say. I think we had a very special class and this weekend proves it. I'm with you on planning the next one!
THANKS AGAIN!!!!
I'm in to help with planning this next one too! I had so much fun. Not to toot our own horns, but we all look damn good after 20 years!!
Thanks again to Rami, Kathi, Jean, Susan, and all the rest who made it all so fun for us. Nancy, I better not see a coffee table book come out entitled "Cleavage Shots at 20 Years"!!!
Lauren
Damn it! I will have to call the publisher!! Thanks again to Rami, Kathi and Susan! I had such a great time! All you girls at the reunion were so fantastic! Please keep in touch!!!
Wasn't it great to see that all of girls have kept it "real" all these years later? I am very proud!!!! Now, who knows what the next 20 will bring?
Lauren and Nancy,
Check out the shutterfly page. The book will be worth even more if we could get each woman to autograph her page.
Susan Streets
Well, I checked out the shutterfly page and though I don't have a cleavage shot in there, the ones of Shannon and I on stage are priceless! We were INTO it! To say I had an awesome time with y'all would be an understatement. The best part was getting to know many of you that I didn't know well in high school. Thanks for letting me crash your reunion and pretend like I was one of you guys!!! I only hope '88's will be half as much fun. I really hope all of you will keep in touch. Have a great summer!
Caroline
You were one of us that night!! We loved that you and Shannon were able to join your husbands and us. We missed you the night before.
I was so glad to see that all of the spouses were so comfortable with the our class of 87. I think they were surprised to have had so much fun. I knew we'd have fun, but never dreamed it was going to be that much fun!!
BTW...you and Shannon look like pros singing. I did not know what song that was you were performning, but Erin said (when she saw it) that she thought it was "RESPECT". How could she tell???
Probably because I have been singing "Respect" every chance I can get since high school...it's like my signature song! Plus the TV's in the background have some of the words on the screen! Very good, Erin!
I am giggling....she tried reading the words and could not make it out and that is when she said, "I bet it was "Respect"." Then I asked Susan and she confirmed. You are just a pro! You looked "HOT" singing that song.....like a professional...very nice stage presence! Great outfit too!
I am wondering where the '89 blog is????
Thanks Rami for the pics they are great and I hate that I was not there, but I will be there in 5 years. And Lauren is right you look goof for twenty years!!!
Becky
Yeah, I was HOT alright...it must have been about 1000 degrees in there...and the fan blowing my hair around didn't make the pictures look any better. John is so proud of his crazy little wife!
Missy Lambert Judice has the blog for Class of 88 started...she will be the "Rami" for our class! There isn't much on it right now but that will change (I guess I need to get busy). It is at www.nhsclassof88.blogspot.com . Like I said, I only hope ours is as much fun as y'alls...you set a great precedent!
WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME TIME!!!! Thanks to EVERYONE that made this happen (Rami, Kathi, Susan, Jean) and thanks to EVERYONE that attended. It was GREAT seeing everyone!!! I will be honest, I had concerns about this one... Will they still remember me... Will I remember them... Will there still be same cliques...I hope they don't laugh at my hawaiian shirts... etc...
You know what? It didn't matter! All those things didn't matter one single bit. It didn't matter how popular you were or weren't. It didn't matter who dated whom. It didn't matter where you lived or whose locker you shared. It didn't matter one single bit. It was about having a great weekend and reconnecting with old friends and acquaintences.
Thanks to everyone that made that happen.
Can we do something about the heat and humidity next time???? I knew it was going to be bad but GOOD GRIEF!!! ;-)
I am so glad to hear that! I felt the same way...the atmosphere at the reunion was so friendly and everyone was genuinely interested in reacquainting themselves with each other. I think the blog helped to break the ice and Rami you really opened the door to let everyone know they were welcome to participate, no matter what group you were in way back in 1987. It was like we were all grown ups or something!
I am very proud of the class that we have become. It is amazing what maturity does to people. I guess it is part of growing up. Too bad we don't know that as teenagers....we rob ourselves of knowing each other. Maybe that is part of "the plan". I feel fortunate that we had our 20 year....so many new memories to add to the old. And at least these are all good!!! NO volleyballs thrown, no trash thrown in sun roofs, no shoe stealing.
I suggest that 1985 and 1986 not wait until their 25 year to try to get together.....they did not have a 20. Plan it now! Who says you have to have one every decade or half decade.
I am also excited that 1988 is blogging away now. You are going to have a blast! I'll be adding a link to your blog. AND don't forget about Gidget Rogers this time. She is still in Slidell healing from being MIA at the 10. Just kidding, Gidget!! She is a Holyfield now.
Oh, I almost forgot.
Caroline, I meant "hot" as in "McSingy" hot. I guess I should have said, "You looked McSingy!" But you are right it was 1000* in there.
